I don't watch television. I think it
destroys the art of talking
about oneself

Someone once said that every century has its Oscar Wilde and if that be the case, then Stephen Fry is the Wilde of today.
No surprise then that the man himself was cast as his nineteenth century alter ego in the acclaimed 1997
film of the same name, a role that for many he was born to play.

Yet Fry is far more than just an actor.

Indeed there appears little, if anything that he cannot do and do extremely well at that too. As a noted author, columnist,
comedian, compere, director, raconteur, quiz show master and friend of the Royals / personal guest at the wedding
of the Prince of Wales to Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, Fry has used his celebrity status to highlight
a series of issues as wide ranging as the plight of the spectacled bears of Peru, to those
affected with bipolar disorder, including Fry himself.

Most recently he has gone out of his way to raise awareness of HIV though his compelling two-part BBC series
STEPHEN FRY: HIV AND ME / 2007.

Noted for his comic couplings with Hugh Laurie in the form of A BIT OF FRY AND LAURIE, together with the immensely popular
JEEVES AND WOOSTER adaptations of the stories by PG Wodehouse, Fry has equally starred in the classic BLACKADDER
series, gone on to host his own panel show QI and was THE host of the BAFTA® Awards, at a time
when he was appearing on the opposite channel in the ITV drama series KINGDOM.

He has also starred as a bumbling detective in the all star murder mystery GOSFORD PARK / 2001, written and
directed his first film BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS / 2003, starred as Dr Thomas Arnold in the television adaptation of TOM BROWN'S
SCHOOLDAYS / 2005, traced his family history in the 2006 outing of the series WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?, put his voice
to a multitude of programmes and audiobooks including the HARRY POTTER works and taken time out to pen four
successful novels and his autobiography MOAB IS MY WASHPOT, together with giving the traditional
Christmas pantomime a whole new leash of life! Added to which he has a recurring guest role
as psychiatrist Dr Gordon Wyatt in the American series BONES and is soon to be seen
in a series of television productions.

In short, this is a man who appears to just go from strength to strength, being one of the most respected
and intellectual out personalities of today.
